Cheap and Cheerful | £1 Primark Fashion Nails

5 June 2014

On a recent trip to Primark I wandered off to the beauty aisle after feeling a bit disappointed with the clothes; me and the summer collection are not getting along this year. Nothing really caught my eye there either, apart from these nails. Now who wouldn't want a manicure for £1! I've never had fake nails before so trying a super cheap set was a good way to see if I liked them. Obviously with a greater price the nails would be of a superior quality, feel more comfortable and definitely would last longer but you can still get the gist of how they feel and look if you've not tried them before.

They come with instructions and are pretty easy to apply, although I did struggle with working out how to use the glue at first (newbie problems). Aside from that they stick on quickly and feel fairly comfortable, I can still type and text which is the most important thing right? After about an hour two fell off, but they weren't stuck on correctly in the first place. At the end of the day the other eight are still going strong, so they last at least 10 hours if applied properly. I love stripes so I'll be using a nail here and there as an accent nail as there's plenty to go round, 24 to be precise. I'm yet to try the Natural point nails but I presume they will be very similar to the striped ones. They're not of the greatest quality and that's reflected in the price, but they are a quick and inexpensive way to get nice looking nails (as long as no-one's looking at them through a magnifying glass).

Have you tried any beauty bits from Primark?

  1. I that I have yet to try anything from Primark, but I am definitely going to start after seeing this post (your nails look so pretty and your background with lemons looks super cool)!
