Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer Review

19 August 2013

Collection (formerly Collection 2000) has done it again with this brilliant concealer and it really does live up to its name. It is definitely illuminating and brightening as well as concealing those dark circles. I picked this up due to the countless mentions it had been getting in the blogging/youtube world and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed due to the positive reviews it was getting. The concealer I was using everyday was also by Collection, the Lasting Perfection concealer, so I wasn't surprised that this was equally as good.

I have it in the shade Glow 3 which was the darkest shade available which is suitable for my olive to medium brown skin, however if your skin is darker it may not be suitable. As it is an illuminating concealer I only use it on areas where I want the light to reflect more, so I apply this under my eyes and on my brow bone. For days when I have large under eye circles I use the Lasting Perfection concealer and then dab a small amount of this concealer on top. By doing this I have achieved full coverage under the eyes and the Illuminating Touch concealer serves the purpose of an under eye highlighter. I have tried it on blemishes and it conceals them brilliantly, however, it causes the area to stick out as it has been illuminated.

This is a must-have product for all year around; in the summer it adds to your fresh glowing look and in the colder months it will brighten your skin as the colder weather can make you look washed out and dull. It is available from Boots and Superdrug for £4.99.
